The weiand x-cellerator #7544 is a good intake to use, imo

I have lots of room (approx 3" rise L-88). No matter what combination; bb, sb, high rise, dual plane, 1" spacers, I have run there has always been extra room. Maybe if your running an extra tall air cleaner on a hgh rise w/ the nos plate you might be close.

I have noticed this with others on the board. I currently have a 350 in a 74 model. I have a single plane crossram called the Sy1 and I have a quadrajet on it right now. It has no clearance in fact I had to cut a hole in the hood to fit a 3 inch open air cleaner and it sticks out about 2 inches. Even the stock type air cleaner will not fit.
I used poly engine mounts but they use the stock clamshells. I never thought this intake would be taller than my weind 7546 I had before.

I agree, if you have clearance issues Weiand has some good low risers. Either that or a cowl hood http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif

Very good value for the money is a Holley Strip Dom.
It will run with a DART until just way up at the top!!
