Have any of you guys ever used a Ford remote starter solenoid wired to the GM starter? I have heard this will cure the problems with the GM starter solenoids getting overheated from the headers. If you have how was it wired?

You want a kit like that.
Or if you wanna fight it a bit and go a little cheaper, then this one will work (I put one like this in myself) - http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=remote+solenoid&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&searchinresults=false&N=0&target=egnsearch.asp
Or, if you know your cars electrical system....and are good with wires, just get a 79 Ford pickup solenoid and wire it yourself http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif That'll cost you $13 maybe http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

I bought the MAD kit. It works great. Instructions are very good - even for the electrically-impaired. Best idea Ford ever had.
