Just curious... What if you have to change the subframe bushings in the future? Will the body and frame separate enough to get access to the bushings?

Will the body and frame separate enough to get access to the bushings? merlin007 08-11-2005, 10:01:00 PM oh yeah, not a prob. just make sure that whoever did the job that you have access to the rear-most front subframe bushing bolt. i have seen these bolts boxed in before. even if they are, all is not lost, just have to drill a large hole Twisted_Metal 08-12-2005, 12:16:00 AM What if the SFC is welded to the floor panel as some people suggest? Wouldn't you have to cut it loose from the floor to get the old bushings out and new ones back in? indyzmike 08-12-2005, 04:58:00 AM If the subframe connectors are welded to the floor you should be using solid bushings and never need to replace them. lv2roc 08-12-2005, 03:57:00 PM solid bushings, like my old timer friends did with there racing cars. Cut solid aluminium discs and mount the between the frame and body to account for the rubber bushings? I figure if the SFC is welded to the rear frame and body, nothing should move. So you would not need rubber or poly bushings. Is that a correct assumption?
