Air_Adam 06-07-2007, 09:38:58 PM Sounds perfectly healthy to me. What kinda oil are you using? Trev.C 06-08-2007, 03:16:12 AM Sounds perfectly healthy to me. What kinda oil are you using? 20/50's, I am tempted to put a HV oil pump on, but I assume to much oil press, might cause oil leaks? ProStreet383 06-08-2007, 07:45:55 AM 20 at hot idle and 45 and up at 2000rpm is perfect. General rule of thumb is 10 pounds of oil pressure for every 1,000rpm. 80'427 06-08-2007, 10:46:35 AM No a HV pump will not cause leaks just is like putting on a bandaid with no cut. You don't need it. I have one in my BBC but I am one of those guys that goes over something a 100 times till I talk myself into it. Anybody else have 7/16 rods in there 6500 rpm oval port motor? See what I mean. rgearhead 06-08-2007, 10:54:09 AM Big Blocks Are Soooo Awsome They Dont Even Need Oil Pressure ,,,,,,lol 450bench 06-08-2007, 11:30:06 AM sounds perfect Rat Race 06-09-2007, 09:31:30 AM Mines 45 at idle 75 at speed too much? I have the much debated Melling HV pump Trev.C 06-10-2007, 06:52:54 AM Mines 45 at idle 75 at speed too much? I have the much debated Melling HV pump Has it produced any leaks? running at that pressure?? I have ordered a Melling HV pump, but really undecided weather to fit  theflash 06-10-2007, 10:48:39 AM You do not need a HV pump for a BB, the stock one is more than adequate. |
