i just got into an accident with my car. the damage is not that bad the core support got pushed back and the hood got crushed. but thats not the problem. at first the car started just fine but now it doesnt want too start at all. i checked the battery it seems fine but i'm going ti get it checked out anyway and the starter is only about 18 months old and the connection too the starter look good and tight. do you guys have any idea what it could be?

Same as with any no-start.. starter, spark and fuel. Check for all three, and if they're present, bust out the compression tester.

dude did you read the topic the engine wont turn. the starter wont engauge. the starter is getting power i know this cause i bipassed it at the solenoid with a screw driver. but when i turn the key nothing happens no sounds at all. is there anything that could have got damage or missed up at impact?

maybe a ground wire was damaged in the accident. but maybe the wire didn't break and still will allow 12v to the starter but it might not be able to carry the amps. and maybe since the car is prolly all squished up in the front the wire could have wiggled around to where now it won't carry the amp for the starter?
and you said the car started just fine before. this was after the accident correct?
another thing which you mentioned. defiantly have the battery checked out. since the battery prolly absorbed some sort of force in the accident since they are mounted right up front, it could have caused a cell to go bad in the battery. which a dead cell in the battery can really wreck havock in diagnosing. becasue they can be gound one minute and 1/2 hour later the dead cell will casue the car not to even crank.

I second the battery ground wire.
