My 350 valve seals are bad so insted of just replaceing them I wanted to remove the heads, mill them and replace the cam. My motor is a v0526tkf, so its a 75 0r 78 350 about 160hp. It has a proformer intake and edlebrock carb. Also duel exaust with flowmasters. I just got the car and I dont think it has a cam in it is there a way to tell? If it does not what would be a good cam for me? I want to drive it and be able to go to the strip. Maybe I am wasting my time, maybe thats not the way to go you tell me. I have a small budget and I like going to the junkyard.

List the rest of your combo and what you want to do with your car. You will definitely need to get that compression up. Ever thought about Vortec heads? Read the sticky on them lots of good info there.

Thats all I know proformer intake edlebrock carb and exaust on a stock (I think) 350. I have'nt pulled the valve cover to check the number yet but I dont think its anything good. I want a good street car, reliable, and can go to the track and play. Maybe low 14s or 13s. Can i do this with what I have?

I don't think you'll be hitting 13's or even low 14's with what you have there. My 350 is rated at 330 hp and I ran 14.48 last year.
Take it and run it, see what it does and go from there. You'll have a better idea what you want once you know what it'll do now.

So I should think about just having a good street ,daily driver engine. But... what would it take to run 13s?
