One of the highest cfm fans made. They cost almost $300 from my local ford dealer. So yes $60 is a great price and it shold have no problem cooling your big block.

Actually the Taurus is a different fan. It is a good fan just not the same cfm and the mark VIII fan.

They are a two speed fan, but if you install a variable speed controller, such as DC Control's FK35 you will only connect the one (high) speed.

Just got the fan (mark8), no way its gonna fit between the radiator & the water pump, unless I cut the shroud... Any body have to modify there fans to fit, or am I wasting my time?:(

Trimming the shroud is common.

Consider the current draw when wiring. Those big Ford fans draw 100 amps or more on startup. Over thirty amps running. Sure do the job though.

Like tom3 said they draw alot of amps.

10 ga. min wire size is needed to power it, unless your running it off a high amp relay.. Then just 10 ga. to power the relay

After a lot of cutting, not happy... Not gonna fit good.... Oh well, I guess i'll use my old clutch fan.:(

I've got a earlier Lincoln fan, same as the Taurus/SHO type, $30 + shipping. Here's a good link for wiring them up. www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2003/02/electricfan/index.php
