Post pics if you got them. Thanks:) blown1981z28 06-04-2007, 06:52:47 PM One of the highest cfm fans made. They cost almost $300 from my local ford dealer. So yes $60 is a great price and it shold have no problem cooling your big block. Devryn 06-04-2007, 07:56:18 PM They come on Early to mid 90s Taurus's too. blown1981z28 06-04-2007, 08:28:52 PM Actually the Taurus is a different fan. It is a good fan just not the same cfm and the mark VIII fan. GetMore 06-04-2007, 08:40:13 PM They are a two speed fan, but if you install a variable speed controller, such as DC Control's FK35 you will only connect the one (high) speed. 70SSman 06-06-2007, 07:48:13 PM Just got the fan (mark8), no way its gonna fit between the radiator & the water pump, unless I cut the shroud... Any body have to modify there fans to fit, or am I wasting my time?:( GetMore 06-06-2007, 08:56:08 PM Trimming the shroud is common. tom3 06-06-2007, 10:37:12 PM Consider the current draw when wiring. Those big Ford fans draw 100 amps or more on startup. Over thirty amps running. Sure do the job though. night rider 06-07-2007, 02:03:58 AM Like tom3 said they draw alot of amps. 10 ga. min wire size is needed to power it, unless your running it off a high amp relay.. Then just 10 ga. to power the relay 70SSman 06-07-2007, 05:52:38 PM After a lot of cutting, not happy... Not gonna fit good.... Oh well, I guess i'll use my old clutch fan.:( Mountaineer 06-07-2007, 07:31:02 PM I've got a earlier Lincoln fan, same as the Taurus/SHO type, $30 + shipping. Here's a good link for wiring them up. www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2003/02/electricfan/index.php |
