I got tired of trying to get the old , tin stock covers to seal decently.... I found a set of cast aluminum ones at a car show for $50.

They look like this...

You should be able to find them on Ebay for $60-70 shipped, tall or short style.

I love these that I got from a 74 vette, but I've always liked this type of stock covers. I say go with factory stuff. Twisteds' covers are fine too.>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I just posted in another thread the fact that skip white racing in Tenn. has some super slick fabricated aluminum sheetmetal covers at very reasonable prices. If you want to check them out they have a store on ebay with pics and prices.

I have been using the Hart Indstruies composite (fiberglass) valve covers for about 10yrs... same set... sure would like to get my hands on a set of cast Brodix covers to match my heads. Just don't wanna drop the coin right now though... If you look back musclecarjohn got a set of CF covers that are sharp... "look what the ups guy brought" was the thread... or some nonsense like that...

Whatever you choose, make sure they have internal baffles for the PCV connections, or you could easily end up having serious oil consumption issues and leaks on your engine.

Absolutely correct!! I use an evac system that dumps into the collectors. But my car see's very few miles.
If you plan on driving it... make sure they are baffled properly.
(somehow that just don't sound right... LOL:screwup: )
