Do you have to use that metal plate that comes with the mounts?

I put the motor in today but it doesn't line up on the passenger side. If I remove that plate, it looks like it will line up better.

Yes you have to use that metal plate, says so in the directions.

I did not get a metal plate with mine, what does it look like?

The ones that I received where just the center of the clamshell type. I also had trouble lining things up, but with some special finese I finally made it fit. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

I used the metal plates and finally got them to line up. Just took a little persuasion with a breaker bar.
