Anyone know what the part number for the stock TH400 crossmember is?

Even better, anyone have some pics so I can compare it to a Th350 Crossmember?

IIRC, you can use the 350 crossmember with the 400.

You just have to move it back a bit and drill new holes in the frame to mount it.

On the later model cars you move the crossmember back, only real option beside making a new one.

On a 70-74 the best option is to find a repro or original Th400 crossmember.

You can also cut the mounting pad off the front of the Th350 crossmember and move it to the back.

Crossmembers are not interchangeable from the early 70-74's and the later 2nd gens...

Thats what we did on 2 camaros with 400 swaps. Don't forget you will have to get the drive shaft cut down. My brother twisted a stock camaro x member and he ended up useing a beffier piece from an old nova. Worked out perfect. He did have to re-drill the x member though.

OK, still looking for the part number for the TH400 crossmember if anyone has it. 3964816 is the part number located on my crossmember which was holding up a TH350 transmission.

Need to confirm that this is infact a TH350 crossmember and then need the part number for the TH400 crossmember. Anyone have that info? Also looking to purchase an original TH400 crossmember if one is available.
