Do you smell any rotten egg smell at all, it could be one of your catalytic converters, but im not positive

Sounds like you might have carbon monoxide fumes getting into the passenger compartment, if it's making you sick. If you HAVE to drive the car, keep the damn windows down! See if there is any breakage in the exhaust system where it runs underneath the passenger compartment.

ya it keeps geting worse and worse, ill check out ANYTHING let me know, it smells like burnt gas, no wired colored smoke tho, the cat looks stock but it dont pop or create presure or anything and the exaust flows very good, few things people tell me which i dont know about, o2 sensor or fuel filter or gas return line or charcoal canister. i really have no idea and no one does. this is so important

ps the smeel makes me sick to my stomach and burns my throt.

Gas is supposed to burn, so what does burnt gas smell like?

Start the car, have someone put their hand over the tail pipe to build pressure and listen for where your leak is. If your exhaust system terminates somewhere under the car (and not full tail pipes over the axle to the rear of the car) thats the problem. Exhaust will find a way into the cabin if the pipes don't direct the flow past the body somehow. Like sharpeye said, carbon monoxide poisoning is nasty $#!+,, if you have an exhaust leak that is getting into the cabin,, GET IT FIXED!!!!

You won't be able to SEE the leaks if they exist, you'll have to LISTEN for them.....kind of a "ssst ssst ssst" sound. If, as you say, someone has put Flowmasters on the car, I'd check that area first for the exhaust leaks.

What condition is the car in?....Any holes in the trunk area (from rust, previous stereo equipment etc.) will let fumes into the cabin.

You have to be pulling our leg, right. NOBODY is dumb enough to drive a car that makes them sick! Don't mean to be cold, but take it to someone who has a clue as to what they are doing. Nothing you save by fiddling yourself is worth destroying your brain cells, among other things, in large quantities.

Duct tape the damn thing if you have to.

Ok, I understand about getting to work. I had an 83 so I know about the tire bay. Like Sharpeye said stop up that hole with duct tape or plastic and duct tape if it is really big.
Sometimes you get a lot of air going the wrong direction back there which will bring the exhaust right inside.
You said that it just started. You probably were getting gassed before, but you just couldn't smell it. Before smog all cars smelled that way. It's probably unburned exhaust products such a hydrocarbons and the other crap that you get when it isn't being burned completely. Likely items, air pump, air pump control stuff, or cad converter died. Get someone to stick a sensor in the tailpipe (like the smog guy) and see what kind of bad stuff is coming out. That will give you a clue as to what has gone wrong. First chance you get invest in a little fiberglass and close that sucker up tight.
Good luck
Let us know what you find out.

i took it down to ohio and back today, ttops down and stuff, its really bad when im just sitting idleing then take off, no real bad when driveing tho. it smells like hot\burnt gasoline, its very potent like if you where at a gas station and the wind was blowing and you got a wiff of the gasoline, like a really higly potent dizel fuel, i went about 20-30 miles today on 1/4 tank so its EATING gas too. is this leading up to the o2 sensor?

Not always , but usually.

a:buy a new converter
b:replace all O2 sensor http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

If that doesn't work, do a compression test, vacuum leak, a TPS check, a MAP sensor check, etc.

if you dont know what a convertor is or anything then you wont be able to fix it.. just pay the fricken 50 bucks before you kill yourself.

uhh, there is alot of converters in a car, and it wasen't $50 to fix it, it was $50 to look at it and they probley won't even know whats wrong cause NO ONE ELSE DOES.

They are talking about a catalytic converter. It was probably removed by the person who put Flowmasters on it. It is (was) part of your exhaust system.

It is hard to say what might exactly be wrong with the car, because we have no way of knowing what all has been removed from it. It obviously has had a hard life.

Does the car have a charcoal canister on the drivers side under the hood? Maybe that is bad or the filter is shot.
