Anyone know anywhere where I can buy the flywheel dust cover for my 78 camaro. My car came without it and the only ones I can find are either for automatics or earlier model camaros. I got a 350 with factory 4 speed.

I ran my car stick car w/o one for years fine!!

Otherwise look to D&R, Rick's, Year One, NPD, The Paddock and others..

I don't have one as well. I had an issue a couple of years ago though. I had a rear seal leaking oil, and it sprayed over the flywheel and thus got over the clutch.

I had a wicked shimy when taking off. I had to replace the clutch, presure plate, piolot, ect.

I correct the leak and replaced the clutch and components, AND I still don't have the inspection cover. I have NOT had any issues since I corrected the oil leak.

reaon I want one is that I just pulled my pan off thinking my engine was about to explode cause I heard a nasty clanking noise. Turned out some metal crap was bouncing around inside the bellhousing. Haven't pulled the bellhousing to check if it was something coming apart in there but the piece didn't look like anything I've ever seen before.

Absolutely right. There's a lot of junk on the roads. Even a small rock can do damage to your car or someone else. A small rock bouncing off a flywheel would take off like a bullet.

let me know if anyone knows where to find one for an 80 (not that it matters), but with a small block (350) and a saginaw 4 speed.

What about running thru a large puddle of water w/o cover seems that this would also have negative effects in this case?
