73RS/Z28 05-25-2007, 01:32:34 AM You really have to guess between the % of LT's and Z28's made. 30K+ Lt's and 11K+ Z28's, and then do estimate of the combo. Should give you a rough idea of about how many were made.
rgearhead 05-25-2007, 01:36:29 AM and no mater the 4 speeds pull down a lot more $$$$$$$$$$$?????

Right! A 4 speed is worth more than a LT anyday. It really doesn't matter how many combo cars were made. What matters is, does the car you are interested in have the "right" options.
Steve73Z 05-25-2007, 10:48:54 AM Yep. Only 6,107 '73 Z's with 4-spd (and the LT option makes it rarer). I'd give my right nut if my car had the matching engine block!!
73Z28LT 05-25-2007, 11:18:36 AM what kind of dollar value would u say a 73LT Z28 4speed matching #'s low miles would fetch?
Steve73Z 05-25-2007, 11:32:22 AM I don't know. How much do you think my right nut is worth??
Seriously - probably not a gold mine at this point, but they aren't making them anymore........right??

 i knew you were going to get personel......lol..
73RS/Z28 05-25-2007, 04:45:12 PM I know mine is a Auto, 5467 made. But with the RS option and factory A/C, plus all #'s matching. 11K Z's and 11K RS's made roughly.
Not a 4-speed, but was hard to turn down with these options.:)
Burt 05-25-2007, 05:28:52 PM I'm trying to get a handle on how many of my '73's were made. It is a RS/LT/Z28 with 4-spd, a/c, and 28K original miles. Matching numbers all. What do you think?
Thanks,
Jim

You have every option combo available. Would guess only a few hundred made with that combo.
Congrats on one rare 73 Z28.;)

you beat me to it...200 at the most IMO.....i wish mine was a RS but now that i,m get older, A/C would please me more..
Burt 05-25-2007, 10:28:24 PM The guy I got the car from (2nd owner who bought the car from original dealer with 1,200 miles on it in 1973, after1st owner turned it back to dealer, too much power!) told me it was one of 63 made. I have thought he was blowing smoke, but now I am beginning to wonder?

73RS/Z28 05-25-2007, 11:10:12 PM We can only guess at the #'s made with those options. I know to start with, not a lot ordered Z28's built with A/C, to start. Then add A/C with 4-speed, almost narrows that down to nil. Then we will figure 10-20% were RS optioned. Through in the LT option, we will never know.
Just know it is a rare beast. I know, i hunted for mine for almost 3 years before finding a #'s 73 RS/Z28 with A/C.
CARGUYS 05-30-2007, 01:19:17 AM My brother's Z is GM documented Canada, and states 207 total production with the 3 trim options. His car is midnight green, sandalwood interior, auto.
vfitom2aol.com 05-30-2007, 10:17:04 AM Is that 207 Canadian or US and Canadian total?
Burt 05-30-2007, 11:51:14 AM Those numbers are the ones for Canada. Carguys was kind enough to send me the documentation on his brother's car a while back.

vfitom2aol.com 05-30-2007, 10:54:33 PM By sandalwood, do you mean code 788 neutral?
