Another dumb question, is a 1990 454 still a gen IV and should it have a boss for a fuel pump. If some one could tell me what years were what generation I would maybe ask fewer dumb questions.

1990 was the last year for the Mark IV motors. Yes it would have a fuel pump mounting boss.
