Okay, I finally got my engine mounts on the frame of the car....a huge PITA. Anyhow I am fitting the pullys on, but I had to get ones from another chevy collector. He has the pullys but no bolts...

Can someone tell me the grad and the size bolts I need for the crank, waterpump and the power steering?

Does the grade matter on these?

Cheers,

-Dan

the powersteering is a press on unit.

on the waterpump, you using the factory fan or electric fans?

crank you got a center bolt and 3 outer radius bolts, the center is a fine thread you can pick up at your local auto store, it will be listed as a harmonic balancer center bolt, the outer is a 3/8" course thread i think, atleast 3/4" long.

is this a stock motor? if it is, a good cooling system and the clutch fan setup will be good.

to free HP,( if electrical work and doing alittle mod making brackets don't scare ya) electric fan.

i am running a dual electric fan, but i gain more from using the electric fan over stock clutch fan.

but if it is stock, a clutch fan setup will be a good thing. just make sure your cooling system is up to par.

The 3 outter damper/pully bolts are grade 5 3/8" fine thread thats 1" long

The center damper bolt is grade 8 7/16" -20 x 2.5" long with a large 1/4" thick grade 8 "fender" washer

The water pump pulley bolts depends on pulley and type of fan your using.

The 4 holes thats drilled into the pump's flange though is 5/16" fine thread.. Lenght depends on fan clutch, or spacer for flex fan, etc

The lenghts I listed are the thread lenghts (not couting bolt head) and the dia. listed is the real dia. of the threads not the bolt head.

The large center damper bolt will be a 5/8" head, and the 3 outter bolts will be a 9/16" head
