Last year I had my 307 rebuilt..and it sat in the car over the winter...we just started it last week...its running good but after starting it/ letting it run quite a few times, suddenly I had this sizzling noise like air escaping and we saw it was coming from the timing cover..and a few minutes later we saw oil was slowly dripping from the timing cover near the bottom and or the front of the oil pan...we tightened the bolts but there is still a small leak...so today we called the engine builder and he was basically like try to figure it out..which irritates me since I just dished over 3500 for this rebuild..does anyone know if this is a frequent problem..we figured we will try to change the gasket and add some gasket maker to seal it..but would anything else cause it to do this..thanks for your help in advance...
