how do i remove the dip stick. i nedd to remove it so i can finish paintint the engine. thanks

i had luck taking vice grips and lightly tighten and twisting back and forth-do not over twist-might take a small hammer and punch and tap around the base a little as you go good luck:bowtie:

They don't come out easy... the base of the tube often breaks off inside of the hole. You'll likley need a conical easy-out to remove the tube once this happens.

if thats the case then i'll just leave it in and try and paint around it. i was told that it is easier to do when the engine is apart.
