I'm upgrading the bottom 1/2 of my engine for a jump in cubes & I'm trying to think of a value to set on selling off the old stuff.
It's a 81 350 block, 4 bolt mains with Sealed Power Hyperutectic pistons(flattops with 5cc valve reliefs), Stock GM "X" rods, stock crank, everything balanced, Comp Cam 282S solid lifter cam, Melling HV oil pump, windage tray & stud kit, Edelbrock polished aluminum 2 piece timing cover set, Edelbrock timing chain set, chrome dipstick, Pioneer 6 3/4" balancer & stock oilpan.
This revs to 6500rpm with no problem, has 55lbs oil pressure cold at idle, 18lbs hot at idle & 50+lbs at 2500rpm.
This setup has push my car to a best of 12.8@106mph with a set of Pro Action 220cc heads & a 3000 stall.
The total assembly has about 12,000 miles on it but the bearings, chain & cam have less than 5,000.
I was thinking about keeping the cam for my new engine & using the rest for my work truck but it's sort of a waste putting a 6500rpm engine into a truck that never sees 4500 so I might just sell it off.
Anyone want to make a guess as to where I should price it?
