I have this knocking sound that drives me crizzy crazy. I think it's the fuel pump push rod. This did this BEFORE I changed the fuel pump and pushrod... When i had it off, I cranked the engine to get the cam so the pushrod would go all the way up; but when I cranked it I didn't hear the knocking/banging. Got the new one on and it still does it. The pump is on the engine, and tightended as much as I could get it... Is it possible I didn't put enough grease in it, or what?
Also, I can rev the crap out of my car is neutral and park, but in drive I can accelerate easy, but if I try to increase the throttle any quickly I hear a loud clicking sound, but a little harsher...(hard to explain) and then the engine bogs REAL bad then dies. Starts right up when i throw it in neutral. It is comming from up front. I am going to guess it's the torque converter.... but the basis on that thought has no support. It's a 305 TH350
