I am getting ready to set the motor in my 68. Any suggestions on what gaskets to use for my small block with hooker headers that will hold up for a while.

manifold gaskets. they seem to work better then header gaskets. when i put mine on thats all i had so i used them. its been almost a year and even with one of the bolts missing they never leaked. i always heard that you have to retorque the bolts a few times but i never touched mine and never had a problem. maybe im just lucky but i doubt it cause i always have the worst luck lol

Cool. That is what I have that came with my gasket set. I have them on but I thought they might be a little thin. I will try them and see how they work.
