What motor and what are you looking to do with the car? 11s in a strip-only vehicle is a lot easier than a street car that can go 11s from any stoplight in the country using pump gas. LayZ 08-11-2005, 11:27:00 AM i have a 454 ls5 motor. right now i have a .560 lift cam in it with oval heads. The engine builder suggested i run a 3:55 rear and a 2000 stall with the car and i could see 12.8's. I thought i remember seeing that 600 Hp will take a 2nd gen into the 10's. If edelbrock claims with their RPM setup 550HP which is very close to the setup i went with shouldn't the car run 11's or better? ------------------ Women Love Men In Bowties rscamaro73 08-11-2005, 12:53:00 PM Start off without any oil in it, and take the upper radiator hose off....just make sure you hook the NAWS hooked up to it with NO pills in it...then start it and mash the gas and the gas button. Might get 10-15 seconds out of it http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif LayZ 08-11-2005, 01:38:00 PM DOH!!! http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif ------------------ Women Love Men In Bowties theflash 08-11-2005, 01:59:00 PM Are you running the Edelbrock heads? Do you know what compression you have? The Eddy heads flow a lot better than any iron ovals do. Also with those gears and low stall I doubt you will see high 12's. My73LT 08-12-2005, 09:59:00 AM It's not just the motor.. You'll need to shove that power through a decent trans.. and then hope it hooks. ------------------ Soon to be BBC, TH-400 w/2000 stall, 3.73 diff w/ Powertrax locker. |
