Okay I just bought a pair of '99 Vortec heads and I just want to know the best way to go about cleaning them up, i.e. chambers, etc.

Also I got the valve covers with 'em, they're still on. Do I need to bother with them? Will they need to be off when I install them (pushrods)?

Also I got the intake manifold with all the goodies attached in the deal, and I really don't need it since I'm going carbureted...anyone know of anybody who would need one real cheap? Haha.
