the 350's is balanced
the 400's is scalloped to be unbalanced

the balancers are kinda hard to start on the cranks sometimes.

if i have the pan off, looking at the crank how can i tell. both ballancers go on but not all the way.

Did you have it internally balanced, or externally balanced????
Internal balancing requires the neutral balancer from the 350.
External balancer requires the balancer from the 400.
If the machine shop that did the balancing didn't ask for the balancer,,, you need a new machine shop!
