Just last Fri. night at the local track we made 2 passes and the Camaro kept falling off on the top end ,12.55 both passes and mph was down to 106.??. both numbers were down from past trips. Checked fuel pressure and it was down to 3.5 to 4. I am running the big Holley mech pump,750 holley race shop carb,406 w/Eld RPM heads,Comp 274,9.5 hyper pistons,RPM Air Gap. Later the next day I took out all of the fuel line to carb, from pump and removed filter and replaced with a straight line and cranked car fuel psi was up to 6. But I drove car around to get it hot to check the psi and after engine was up to 180 fuel pressure was down to 4 psi. Do I need a new pump, fuel lines,[still orig lines from tank],etc? thanks Dale

During this (summer) time of year, you might want to insulate the fuel lines from any possible heat sources.

Dead head regulator or is there a return line ??? If you make a return system, then your fuel will stay cooler.....helping with pressure...

Heat this time of year in La. is a constant thing along with high humidity.I have no return line,or regulator at this time.Thinking of going to an electric with a reg. and return line but was hoping to wait a few months. Just spent $500 on Camamo,$200 on daughters Malibu,$150 on sons truck in 2 weeks.
