Well like the title says.

I have the ZZ383 engine and it comes without guideplates but with self-aligning roller rockers so do I need guideplates or not????? it`s gonna be just a street car no racing or whatsoever max. recommended RPM is 6000 and I`m not planning on going over that. :shy: :shy:

Opinions please

yep you never want to double guide the pushrods/rockers.

If you have self alining rockers then no guide plates..
If you have std. rockers and std. pushrod slots in the head.. No guide plates.

To use guide plates with std. rockers and heads with pushrod slots then you would need to drill the slots out to 7/16" if 1.5 ratio rockers are used or 1/2" if 1.6 ratio rockers
