Anybody got any experiences wiyh degreeing a cam compared to just runnig the same cam straight up? Just wanted some opinions. Getting ready to instal my cam in a new rebuild. (stock LT1 specks cam) I know I could have went with a newer design cam, but I like the way my old Lt1 ran. i'm just old shool I guess.

99% of the time it'll drop in +-1* from spec. That last 1% of the time you'll pull your hair out.

Use a good quality timing chain- they are the usual culprit when something way outta whack with cam timing.

Thanks for the reply. Does that mean I don't have to worry about cam timing if I have a good make new timing chain and gears?
