Hey guys, hoping you can help me out with problem I'm having w/ my z28. It was running great, has 1300 miles on the rebuild (a 350 chevy, stock HEI Distributor). Last night I could feel it was missing, so I felt the headers. #7 was cold. I took the plug out, it was wet. So i blew it off with the air gun, and put it back in. Fired it up again, it the #7 header got hot fast.

This morning, same thing, running on 7 cylinders, but a quick feel of the headers revealed #8 is not firing this time.

When I put the motor in, I put a new cap and rotor on the distributor. As far as I know the coil and ignition module are original. If one of these went bad, might it fit these symptoms?

What else should I look at?

Thank You

fouled plugs? might be time for re-do on the tune up. check timing and set idle mixture with a vacuum guage at a minimum.
