I installed a new Edelbrock 600cfm with an electric choke on my 72. I took it to get new tires and I asked the mechanic to check the idle. He said when he looked at the carb he noticed a small vacuum hole right below the electric choke unit. He didn't think it was supposed to be there. I placed a small plug in it but I'm not sure if that hole should be open. If a pic would help I can take one and download it.

Does anyone know if there is a small hole under the electric choke (this is on the passenger side not one of the ports in the front)?

Any advice would help.

Jim

i have a brand new one in the box with a electric choke. mine has that hole in it. looked at it with a fiber optic light and pushed a small wire in it and you know what... it goes nowhere. it does'nt have a opening on the other end. must not be used for electric choke application
