Looking for a good book or online guide that will give me step by step instructions on pulling an engine and trans. Would like to pull both engine and trans as one with cherry picker if possible? 1970 Camaro with 350 / 350.

I would rather take them out together, if I have my choice. My cherry picker does it with relative ease. I usually have to take the front tires off and use a floor jack under the car to lift and lower the body as the unit is coming out. First I have to lift the car to get the tail shaft to clear the ground/tranny tunnel due to the angle at which the unit is coming out at. Then I have to lower it back down to get the oil pan hump to clear the radiator support.

Are you looking for play by play details to use as a checklist to check items off as you go?

yeah, the best thing is to label EVERYTHING. I just got done pulling and putting a new engine in. I am 19 years old and had no previous experience, and it went very smoothly. I pulled both engine and tranny together. I have taken the tranny out 3 time since while the new engine has been installed and it isnt that hard eihter, so its your choice, but it will come right out with the engine.

GOOD LUCK, Label it all.

Yeah, that would be sweet.

This is going to be a fall/winter project if I still have the car. Just gonna pull them to paint, detail, and fix a tranny leak that just started.

I'll do some more searching on the site.
