My 70 Camaro runs a 427. The casting number on the back of the block is 3963512, and the other other casting number there is either CONV2 or OONV2. The stamp mark on the front behind the water pump is T0205LE. I'm struggling to find information to decipher these codes thoroughly. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
thanks Graeme

3963512....427.......69......2 or 4 bolt
3963512....454.......70-76...2 or 4 bolt

According to mortec.com
Is the engine all original? If it has the matching heads, see about getting the casting numbers from those too.

The "LE" stamped on the front engine pad decodes as a 427 from a full size 1969 Chevrolet with TH 400.

No it has Merlin cylinder heads so thats no help. I am just trying to determine without taking the sump off if it has 2 or 4 bolt mains.

Wouldn't stress over it too much, a 2 bolt will hold lots of power. If you really need to know, have to drop the pan.
