Got my new toy home and cannot find the right combo to make the engine line up on the mounts. I have solid motor mounts and engines mounts, but they won't line up with the 70 frame holes. I've bought both the sbc and BBC factory motor mounts to see if it'll line up for bolts. The small block mounts come real close but will not accept the bolt through both sides. (angles are off pretty bad) As for the BBC style they will not fit over the factory towers. Both of these were HiPo style, is there a difference for the stock style? As soon as I can get these in I can finish getting the car back together. Just tell the combo of parts I need. Please don't tell me to order BBC frame mounts, since I'll be ordering motor plates as soon as the big motor is ready. I just need the quick fix, if there is 1. Thanks Breck

As far as I know, all SB and BB motors will bolt in using all rubber and frame mounts!!

Some like a straight-6 to a BB might require dinging the firewall to get the distributor in, but it should bolt in!!

There are four First Gen. and later rubber mounts, three older ones and a newer one as well as needed CORRECT frame mounts through the years.

Good luck if you don't want to get correct frame and rubber mounts b/c '70 stock will bolt it right in!!

I figure that you can ebay the ones you don't want to buy later after you go block plates and probably will be fine money-wise..

I know it will save you a hassle b/c I was going to use my '67's stock, 350 SB stuff like when I installed my 409 "W" motor years ago to install my present 496 BB, but I had read about SOOO many header fitment issues that it scared me so I bought NOS frame stands and correct needed poly mounts to save me the header hassle........
