i had to drop my starter so i am considering a smaller starter are those hi torque mini starters worth it ???my motor is the 290 hp replacement so i don't need alot of torque but i figure its easier to put in with my headers.
do they heat soak easy???? thanks for any replies

i am running an Hitachi gear reduction starter, and it turns over great! it's allot smaller and lighter.i had to run a smaller one due to the hedmans husslers(the stock starter could'nt be installed when the hedders were bolted up,i had too drop the pass side just too get too it!) and you can rotate the starter as well. hope this helps.

Be careful, some of these mini starters are absolute junk in my opinion.

When I got my 73, the previous owner had the smaller reduction drive starter installed. It works great. I hear they are spendy though.
