I got a set of comp cams roller tip rocker arms. What's the best way to go about removing old, installing new and adjusting them? The engine is in the car and I don't want a huge mess.
Any suggestions?

do yourself a favor and buy a haynes manual. It goes over step by step assuming you are using hyd. lifters.

Should be some old geezers like me hanging around the hobby shop that can help you.

He, He!!
"GEEZERS", the "PUP" say's!! He, He!!
Do it cold by using the old "finger and thumb" p/r spin method on each's base circle and then adjust them warm while idling using the old "clicking sound" method! Right at the clicking stopping, then a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn of the rocker nut farther down will do you very good!!
I drape a clean shop towel over the half I'm not messing w/ and then move it to the other half to finish each bank to hold the mess down. And idled right down too, slow here............................

Thanks for the replies... I do have a haynes manual, I was just looking for any extra suggestions before I do it.
I haven't had much help from the "old geezers" in the Hobby shop up here.
And do you have to adjust them again warm if you did it while the engine was not running? The manual says to tighten them down just until you can't spin the push rod, then another turn down.
Thanks again,
Paul

Thats about the only thing not to do according to the hanyes man. Only go 1/4 to 1/2 past zero like pdq67 said.
And after you do it. I'd go through the engine at #1 TDC and and recheck them all. It does get confusing sometimes.
I'd say do it alone and not have any distractions. And write down on a piece of paper which ones your adjusting at #1 TDC and #6 TDC.
