OK, so like, I threw this Qjet on the 454 just to get it running. I sprayed it off, and it looked pretty clean, so on it went. Got it running...made thunder, no problem. :)

So, I mess with it the other day....and its like - really pissin me off cuz its bogging right at the get go. I spin the dist by hand (I keep it kinda loose to mess around with it in the driveway) and its not helping any. So I'm figuring I need some more gas in the tank.

Fast Forward to today....

I'm messing around...and I can't get squat out of it. Now its just dying. And that's at idle. Of course, I tighten the top screws and whatnots...just a tad. No change.

So, I go down to the basement to consider putting on a Holley....or rebuild one of the ones on the wall. And I'm considering it....then I pick up another QJet on the bench. And I'm looking it over....doesn't look pulled apart and rebuilt...no JBWeld on the welsh plugs....so I unscrew it....pull the lid off....all the other parts to get to the jets just to take a peek in there to see if it'll come close to what I need.

ADD ON: I've been waiting 2 weeks for some 76 jets from the local speed shop. Its been a complete hassle working with this guy on this crap. So I went in his shop today and he calls and they 'SAY' they're sending it tomorrow....we shall see....I was gonna call or visit after the gym since its about 5-6 miles away from the gym. No sweat to me to go that far.

(can you see where this is going now? :screwup: )

So I'm into this carb.....and I can't see what kind of jets there are in there. So, of course I peek harder inside....and I'm like 'no effin way'.....so out they come....I scrub the film off the top of EACH ONE....and sure enough....they're 76 jets.

GET THE FOOK OUTTA HERE !!!

2 weeks and I had the parts I needed the whole time.
So guess what I'm gonna do in another 10 minutes.....yup....go right back in the basement and put that fooker together....lol.

I'll prolly get those other ones...and put another 'quality' qjet together....just shelf it or sell it. But you know what ? I'm gonna make MORE noise this weekend.

Oh...and I'll be bending Damon's ear some more for some goodies to get this puppy runnin......

Anyone interested in a rebuilt QJet ??

sounds like the accel pump or the secondary flapper opening too fast?

Well, due to the wife not feeling good, I had to stay upstairs and keep an eye on the kids. I'll run thru the rig-a-ma-ro tomorrow......

is the q-jet you have from a small block (750 cfm) or bb (800 cfm)

If it is off of a SB I would be interested.
