I have the engine out of my camaro to detail it while the car is being painted. I want to replace the oil pan because the existing one has a small dent, and a few other dings. I also want to switch to a single piece oil pan gasket. I want to go with just a plain steel pan that I can paint. I found this one at Summit racing.

Fourth one down in the oil pan photos!!

Has anyone used this pan? I am just wondering how well it fits? I want to go with plain steel because of issues I read about, where chrome pans are more likely to leak. I will also be using my stock timeing chain cover with the pan.

Thanks

Should work fine. It's designed for use with a driver's side dipstick only, so you should make sure that's where it is in your existing block.

Otherwise, it's just a stock-replacement oil pan and should fit a 2nd gen Camaro without any problem.

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah the 350 that is in my camaro is a four bolt main from a 74/75 truck. The dip stick is on the drivers side of the car.

I got the pan ordered, with the one piece pan gasket.
