For 1970-1972 Camaros, if you are doing a big block swap Hooker Competitions are a perfect fit (you will need the BB frame/BB motor mounts).
Super comps fit '73 and up by the look of it.
I lifted the engine up about 3" and both sides slid in from the top. PERFECT fit. They were $163 (add $200 more for ceramic coating). 2" tubes, 3 1/2" collector.
Check out the other goodies that I got from Jegs today!!!!!!!

Is that an old Tarantula manifold with the carb moved to the side like that?
Headers look good. How close does the front tube come to the brake line?

IMHO, You will regret not having coated (jet hot, etc etc) headers in terms of maintenance and rust. I bought my HOOKERS through a EBAY vendor that coats them and sells them.....I didnt pay nearly a $200 upcharge.............

Gordon,
So you were able to slide the pass header in from the top? Were you able to slide the drivers side from the bottom?Did you have to loosen the mounts?

I'll play your silly little game.....
HOW do you know ??
I happen to have a set of SMC tower mounts in the basement. Was contemplating installing them til I got them decoded (off ebay, listed as BBC mounts, last minute buy).
I currently have the clamshells in there.

Tom - Intake is an Edelbrock TM2R (tarantula?). There is actually enough room between the front tube and the brake line/crossmember that I can almost fit my hand through there - plenty!
John - I had the tail of the transmission resting on the tranny crossmember and lifted the engine with a hoist until it hit the firewall - one person pushing the engine and the other can snake the headers down easy. Once they were almost there we lowered the engine onto the mounts and the headers were perfect. Missing some paint off of the engine now though...
