will a gm 350 deluxe crate motor fit under a stock hood or will i need a cowl induction hood?

You will be fine with the stock hood. Unless you plan on running a blower or something on top of it of course:)

If you are putting the stock intake etc. back on.... No problems.

Your intake, carb, spacer/gasket and air cleaner selection will dictate the need for a cowl hood.

It's the intake manifold height that will determine if you need a cowl hood or not.
Like Twisted stated, as long as it's the stock or stock height, you will be fine.

The only other thing you might need if you use a taller intake is a drop base air cleaner...
