Here's a question thats not about my camaro -
Helping my dad out with his chevelle - its a 71, engine is a 454 out of a mid 70s truck.
Its bored, merlin heads, roller cam, etc. so I'm looking for a high performance water pump, stock one cracked. Went to order a new one and didnt know whether I need a short or long water pump or if flow should be clockwise or counter-clockwise. stock piece has PH 332 CY stamped on it. Appreciate any help. And happy fathers day to all the dads.

Reverse rotation is for a Surpentine Belt.

You might have to get the same style as the original one (long or short) in order to get the brackets to bolt up correctly.

Was there one vehicle you got the brackets off of ?

More than likely its a LWP....

Every BB past '68 except the 'Vettes were long w/ps!!

I forget when the 'Vettes went long or if they ever did up until after the last BB's, what like after '74 or '75??

Can you run a short wp on these motors aside from brackets?
