Has anyone used a two wheel Car Dolly to pull their Camaro ? I was thinking it would be nice to have in case of a break down to get the car home. It wouldn't waste as much storage space as a car hauling trailer. Thanks!

I have used them many times to pull them. Not as heavy to pull as a car trailer. If you have an auto car don't forget to drop the drive shaft.

used them several times. They work great. Just really hard to back up.

They work well. It's best to put the front wheels on the dolly and drop the driveshaft.
If you try to put the rear wheels on the dolly, you will find out how much slop is in the steering when it starts swaying back and forth!

I used a dolly to pull the 75 from Great Bend, Kansas to Jefferson City, Missouri when I returned from Germany in 1990. It was a 5 hour drive and I did not have any problems. I pulled it with a 80 El Camino. Less pulling power than a full sze truck but it got the job done. Definately drop the drive shaft and plug the rear of the trans.

for what it cost to buy one... u-haul will rent one alot cheaper.... i think its like $50 or something for the trailer for a day and like $40 for the dolly for a day
as long as you stay in state and return it to the same rental place its cheaper than a tow truck

I towed a dolly with my 78 Camaro from Pittsburg CA to Springfield MO last fall. Used my 3/4 ton Suburban, the only problem I had was 11 mpg for something like 2250 miles. The Suburban has a 502 truck motor in it and it gets 11 mpg no matter what I do with it. For most of the time I didn’t even know the dolly and car were behind me.
