I stink at picking valvesprings http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif
Solid flat tappet cam, 244/254 at .050, 278/288 advertised duration, .524/.548 lift.

My old springs were-
Installed Height (in) 1.800
Seat Pressure at Installed Height (lbs) 121
Open Height (in) 1.200
Open Pressure (lbs) 328

I dont think they were strong enough as I did get valve float at high rpms (6300 & above). What sort of nubers should I be looking for?? Time to bump up the seat pressure?

Look at the reccommeded springs for the cam.

I ended up with 133 on the seat and nearly identical cam specs thru comp cams website

125 to 135 on the seat is good, you should be fine with 300 over the nose unless you really plan to spin it, then 330 max for any kind of cam life. Hard to go wrong with the Comp 986-16's for the lower open pressure, 987-16's for the higher open pressure. As usual, for guilt free cam break in, pull the inner springs...
