I have a flywheel here that has been resurfaced. it is a 168 tooth. the number on the back appears to be 3789733. can anybody tell me if this is for a 350 or 400 or if there is a way i can tell a difference between the two
Also is there supposed to be a dowel pin in the back of my crank or just align the offset hole?
thanks

If it's for a 400 sbc, it will have a cast in weight for external balance. One for a 350 will not have a weight.

From what I gather it is for the big block 69 Camaro. I didn't find anything listing engine size, but I suspect it would be a 396/350 flywheel. They are both internal balance engines. You should have a dowel pin in the crank.

Hi,
we have a flywheel 168 teeth & 14,25 " diameter, externally balanced (cast no. 3873457N)
What is the difference between that Big Block 14,25 " flywheel and 14 " flywheels like # 3993827?
Thanks
