it is a bbc and on the back driverside of the block it says 364779

i think its a 364 truck motor but not sure?

First, a BB Chevy big truck engine is a tall decker and is either a 366 or a 427! Big truck as in 2.5 ton DUMP TRUCK sorta deal..

You tell 10.2" tall deck blocks b/c the decks are like .8" away from the top w/p bolts vs like .4" away from a standard 9.8" decked block. (.4" diff. in deck height here is all b/c of them using 4-ring pistons)...

Post back the letters at the end of the VIN number string that should be on the little deck pad that is right above the pass. side top w/p bolt and hopefully we can decode it IF it is still a virgin?

That engine was made from 1968-88, it's a 366ci......comments say "Tall Deck Truck"

ah, just a little 366. probably not worth messing with really huh?
