Can anyone tell me about the valves in a 202 head. I pulled mine apart and the intake valve is concaved on the face ( the part that sets against the seat of the head.)It allso sets very flush in the head.The exuast is straight on the face and sets high on the seat. The motor has 69,000 on it and it appears to have all std.parts.Is this the way they were originally.Dave

I'd say it is as it should be. Guess the thick exhaust valve improves flow somehow and the intakes are the opposite.

I'd say those valves are correct. The exhaust valve is thicker because it gets hotter.
