So I am about ready to throw on the new heads, I have all the stuff needed including the Fel-pro 1003 head gaskets as specified by AFR. The gaskets are a little different then the ones I normally use. They have there own silicone bead allready formed on the gasket. Does this mean I do not have to use the copper coat spray I usually use with other types of gaskets?
Thanks in advance, again.....

You need no copper spray with those gaskets, But make sure that if you are using an older GM block that you have the required holes drilled the center of the decks or you will have a over heating problem.

Yes, I read that in the directions that came with the gaskets...can the holes be drilled by hand?
Is there any special technique
Also why is it mandatory to have the hole with this gasket, but not with others?

Yes it can be done by hand just set hte gasket on the block and use a transfer punch to locate the center of the hole or equivalent drill to they proper size and it should be all set.
Most all Fel-PRO performance head gaskets are the same on the the other 2 holes in between the cylinders the water is restricted and with the big center hole it pushes more water up to the center of the head where the 2 exhaust valves are together as there is more heat in that area. and not drill the reqired holes in the decks you may hang up some valves in the valve guides do to the heat it causes as I have seen this done before.
Take a stock 7733PT-2 head gasket hold it over that Fel-Pro one and you can see what I am talking about.
Good luck

Dammit, I am confused....
So I held up the gasket to the block, and I do indeed have the holes allready in the block. But, the holes that are in the block are 5 times the size of the holes in the gasket. Is this correct?
Or do I have to enlarge the holes in the gasket.

Read the instructions where it tells you to drill a 7/16 or 1/2 inch hole?? as your block maybe fine. It will be between cylinders 3 and 5 and 4and 6

Here is a pic of where the hole is to be drilled if you have one of the older blocks.
