Ok tried to ask before but had no luck. I need a flywheel that fits my 78 camaro that now has a 1 piece rear main seal which = different crank bolt pattern. The flywheel must also be neutral balanced cause I already balanced my rotating assembly. Anyone know of a flywheel that will work with the stock bellhousing, or a bellhousing it will work with. I got the factory 4 speed t10 in it right now. Any type of adapter plate to adapt a 2 piece style flywheel to the 1 piece crank. Last part I need to get my car back on the road and can't find anything that works. Any help is great

Would the 153 tooth flywheel off an 87-92 manual trans IROC work? They were all 1 piece RMS engines. Or possibly the flywheel off a later LT1 engine (which were also 1 piece RMS engines, despite the other odd features on it). Not sure what size flywheel that was, but I'm pretty sure it was also the smaller 153 tooth style.

Not sure about the LT1 but I thought the TPI cars had a counter weighted flywheel.

GM offers a 12 3/4" lightweight 153 tooth flywheel & 14" standard weight flywheel for the 1 piece seals.

Take a look here.

Find any new style manual flywheel and take it to your balance shop to have it neutral balanced. The bolt pattern is unique to that engine since they are all external balanced from GM.

In other words you had the Machine Shop internally neutral balance your rotating assembly so now you have to have a neutrally balanced 1-piece flange type flywheel, right??

yup, anyone know how much it is to nuetral balance a flywheel at a machine shop? That link to scoggin dickey looked pretty good to, just not very much info about the flywheel, said crap about an automatic trans so not sure if thats actually a flywheel or a flexplate.

will one from an ls1 fit this crank? cause i found a good one for an ls1 motor. yeah i also found out more about that flywheel on scoggin dickey from summitracing and it says that engine balance is internal and balance style is external. Don't know what thats supposed to mean

I have a 153 flywheel which is the light version from a vette. It needs to be surfaced, I also have a 168 tooth that is almost ready to run. Of course they will both need to be neutralized for your application. Send me a PM, I'm more interested in not letting them rot and getting them the heck out of the way than I am making money on them.
