My 71 Z-28 had been modified for racing back in 1971 , The rear wheel wells were tubbed and the fuel tank was taken out and either replaced with a narrower version or was modified and made narrower . so I would assume the sheet is no longer on top of the tank . The rear seat was also narrowed and re-upholstered to fit between the tubs , so not much hope of finding it there . I think I read before that it could be under the front seats or behind the plastic backs of the front seats . I have not yet checked there , Is there anywhere else I can look ,I.E. behind the door panels , under carpet, inside doors ? Any experiances finding one in other places ? Thanks , Peter
