Anyone using the Edelbrock RPM air gap?
How is the hood clearance with stock hood?
I'd really like to use the GM single plane on it but It's 5 3/4" tall to the carb flange.
Thanks, David

I fit an Edelbrock 2900 Vic Jr under my stock hood, but you can't use a speadbore carb

Thanks, I want to use either a Holley DP or Demon DP with 14" drop air cleaner.

Since you're asking on a 2nd gen board - My 79 has the RPM air gap, Holley 750 vac w/proform main body, NOS cheater plate & 14" drop base Eddy air cleaner w/3' element. I took a dremmel to bolts that protruded under the hood. The play dough mashed down to about 1/8" so take it easy closing the hood and good luck.
