Anyone know what the intake runner volume is on a set of stock '77 350 cylinder heads. I know the combustion chambers are 76cc. Also, what is the maximum recommended intake runner volume if the engine only has slight upgrades, cam, intake, etc. Stock bottom end.

I'm assuming a 170cc to 185cc would be the best choice, and 200cc to 215cc would be way to big.

Thanks all.

Probably right at 160 cc's for stock heads.

I would'nt go any smaller than 165 or bigger than 180. hey do you have casting #'s for those heads?

I would keep volume under 200cc in general, but the actual port/runner design is more critical than the volume. Lots tiny runners of the L31 Vortec heads are outflowing the massive 215cc Sportsman II heads.
