Never replaced this gasket before. Bought a replacement gasket and it came with the two cork sides and two rubber 1/2 circle pieces. Was half expecting a single piece as with most gaskets. Need some advice on the rubber piece installation. Should I use non hardening gasket sealer on them or not? Or should I use nothing to help them seal? Would hate to crawl under there and do this again. Thanks.

They do make a nice reusable one piece gasket that has the steel enforcement rings so you dont over tighten. Its a little more expensive, but I have had very good luck with them. They are available at AutoZone and the like.

Yep, Felpro makes them and I've used them 2 times with NO complaints. I HATE oil leaks and these things are almost fool-proof! Well worth the $24.

The 4 piece gasket will not leak if installed corectly. just make sure everything is CLEAN. use some 3-M super weatherstrip adhesive to hold the new gaskets in place and a drop of blue silicone on the 4 points where the cork joins the rubber. don't use any glue on the oil pan side.
