Im talking full length headers. It seems on both my 79 and 80 the drivers side hangs about a inch lower. Why do the manufactors do this? Both my cars sit level and engine mounts are fine and both have different brand headers but both hang a lil lower on drivers side

They do that mostly because of the torquing of the engine. The driver's side will lift up under heavy engine loads.

Yup I believe that's it! Mine hang lower on the drivers side, but only by 1/2 inch at the most.
